译文
重重叠叠的山峰隔断了繁华喧闹的都市生活，更觉得年丰人寿在我们这个小村落。移居到想要去的人迹罕至之所，那里有窗口可以看到碧绿的山峰，还有屋后茂密的松柏一棵棵。种植那十年成材的树木，耕作那一年收获的谷物，都交给那些年轻人吧。老夫我所要做的，只是清早醒来，欣赏那将落的明月；醉饱之后，充分享受那山间的清风拂面而过。

人月圆：黄钟调曲牌名。
重冈：重重叠叠的山冈。
红尘：这里指繁华的社会。
要就：要去的地方。
远岫：远山。

蒙古太宗十一年（1239），历尽磨难的元好问回到家乡秀容，择居母亲张氏娘家东园。颠沛流离多年方始安定，眼见家乡宁静太平，年成丰收，他如释重负，作了这首曲。
人月圆·重冈已隔红尘断鉴赏
整首小令的上半阕，写他为什么要“卜居外家东园”。“重冈已隔红尘断，村落更年丰。移居要就，窗中远岫，舍后长松。”这就是诗人认为十分理想的卜居之地，是诗人心中向往的优美的幽居佳境。下半阕写移居新环境中的新生活，人活着，总要吃饭穿衣，作为平民种木、种谷之类的事，不干是不行的。而他年事已高，不宜体力劳动，所以“十年种木，一年种谷”的体力劳动，全都交付给子女去干。而自己呢？惟有“醒来明月，醉后清风。”这是诗人晚年的生活写照。
整首小令表面上看，只是对山林间悠然自得的生活，没有任何一字提及诗人对当时的元朝暴政的不满之情。但细细咀嚼，又字字句句语含沉痛，蕴藏着对暴政的不满之意。虽不言情，但通过写景抒情，情藏景中，充满了诗人悲愤之情，情深意挚，可谓是一切景语皆情语。

元好问，字裕之，号遗山，太原秀容（今山西忻州）人；系出北魏鲜卑族拓跋氏，元好问过继叔父元格；七岁能诗，十四岁从学郝天挺，六载而业成；兴定五年（1221）进士，不就选；正大元年（1224 ），中博学宏词科，授儒林郎，充国史院编修，历镇平、南阳、内乡县令。八年（1231）秋，受诏入都，除尚书省掾、左司都事，转员外郎；金亡不仕，元宪宗七年卒于获鹿寓舍；工诗文，在金元之际颇负重望；诗词风格沉郁，并多伤时感事之作。其《论诗》绝句三十首在中国文学批评史上颇有地位；作有《遗山集》又名《遗山先生文集》，编有《中州集》。
