苦思搜诗灯下吟，不眠长夜怕寒衾。
满庭木叶愁风起，透幌纱窗惜月沈。
疏散未闲终遂愿，盛衰空见本来心。
幽栖莫定梧桐处，暮雀啾啾空绕林。
冬夜寄温飞卿鉴赏
此诗是作者向温庭筠吐露心声，表明没有归宿感。
首联一二句，写作者的孤独、失眠，苦吟诗句。“苦思搜诗灯下吟”，是说心中的惆怅无法用语言来表达，“苦”、“搜”，表明写诗并不随便轻易，“搜”字尤其好，说明诗人心里的思念不是普通词句能形容出来的。在灯下吟便更显出一种孤独哀愁。“不眠长夜怕寒衾”，“长夜”照应前句的“灯下”，不眠才觉夜长，衾寒是由于形只影单是说漫漫长夜没法入睡，夜越深越觉得衣服薄，越觉得冷，再次突出诗人的孤单。
颔联三四句，写寒风吹落树叶，月亮西沉，一夜过去。语句对偶。“满庭木叶愁风起”，诗的题目便说明是冬夜，所以树叶全部怕风来，风一吹树叶掉啦，便更显得萧条，触景伤怀。“透幌纱窗惜月沈”，“惜”字尤妙，无人可依，唯求月相伴，为月沉而惜，更显人的孤单。
颈联五六句，写无论闲还是忙，心愿始终未能实现。“盛衰空见本来心”，这句尤其有哲思。
尾联七八句，说是凤凰也好，是鸟雀也好，都没有栖宿之处，没有归宿。“幽栖莫定梧桐处”，凤栖梧桐，但她偏不落在梧桐上，写出了无处托身之苦。“暮雀啾啾空绕林”，“空”字道尽凄凉之境。

鱼玄机，女，晚唐诗人，长安（今陕西西安）人。初名鱼幼微，字蕙兰。咸通（唐懿宗年号，860—874）中为补阙李亿妾，以李妻不能容，进长安咸宜观出家为女道士。后被京兆尹温璋以打死婢女之罪名处死。鱼玄机性聪慧，有才思，好读书，尤工诗。与李冶、薛涛、刘采春并称唐代四大女诗人。鱼玄机其诗作现存五十首，收于《全唐诗》。有《鱼玄机集》一卷。其事迹见《唐才子传》等书。
