译文
我经常想起漫游西湖， 整天站在楼台上，扶栏远眺那湖光山色的情景：湖面上三三两两的钓鱼小船， 小岛上天高淡远的号色。
最难忘的是，一阵悠扬的笛声隐隐约约地从芦花荡里传长时， 惊动了栖息在那里的白鹭， 它们倏地成群飞起，排列成行。西湖的景色使我艳羡神往， 因此一旦离开它，闲暇时， 又撩起我垂钓的情趣，开始整修钓鱼工具，此刻仿佛又置身于清凉爽阔的西湖秋色之中了。
注释
西湖：即今杭州西湖。
尽日：整天。
凭：靠着。
阑（lán）：横格栅门。
岛屿：指湖中三潭印月、阮公墩和孤山三岛。
依约：隐隐约约。
白鸟：白鸥。
水云：水和云融为一起，淡蓝乳白相间，给人清凉爽快之感，这里指西湖秋天的景色。

酒泉子·长忆西湖创作背景
潘阆共作《酒泉子》十首，来吟咏钱塘地区的自然景物，是忆杭州的组词。每首词都以“长忆”起句，是宋词中最早的组词。把山水形胜作为词的描写重点，作者潘阆可以说是一个早期尝试者。此词写的是杭州西湖的景色。

酒泉子·长忆西湖鉴赏
词上片写到秋高气爽的时节，凭栏远眺，西湖水如明镜，孤山景色清爽，几只渔船悠然自得，寥寥几笔，勾勒了一幅远近相宜、意趣恬淡的优美画面，写景静中有动，以动衬静。“三三两两钓鱼舟，岛屿正清秋。”前句写风物，后句写背景，相映生辉。“三三两两”句点渔舟位置，有悠然自得、不扰不喧的意思。以“三三两两钓鱼舟”映衬湖水的宽阔，以笛声依约、白鸟成行烘托景致的幽雅。将依依相思之情融入笔端，描写极富诗情画意，经“忆”字提示，下文便从现实中脱开，转入回忆。接下来由眼前的不懈思念，引出当年无尽的栖迟，用感情带动写景。“凭阑楼上”用到这里，表明作者终日留恋的同时，还使以下诸景因之入目无遗。
词下片芦花丛中传来依约的笛声，惊动了白鸟从水里飞起，用“忽惊起”状白鸟（即白鹭）翩然而逝、倏然而惊的形态，色彩明快，颇具情味，朴实的白描中透出空灵。“别来”二字将思路从回忆拉到现实。“闲整钓鱼竿”不仅应上片之“钓鱼舟”，而且以收拾鱼竿、急欲赴西湖垂钓的神情，衬托忆西湖忆得不能忍耐、亟想归隐湖上的念头。词之下片，营造出钓翁渔隐出没的寥阔苍茫的背景，以景寓情，寄托了词人的“出尘”思想。
全词情景交融，先写西湖光景，后写忆者之情。词中正面描写与侧面描写并用，景中寄情，情中寄景，选景高洁，情调闲雅，用笔淡炼，纯用白描，艺术手法甚为高超。结尾与起首自然照应，用笔清闲。全篇意境悠远，情怀逍遥，表现了作者吟咏潇洒、舒卷自如的过人才气。

潘阆（?～1009）宋初著名隐士、文人。字梦空，一说字逍遥，号逍遥子，大名（今属河北）人，一说扬州(今属江苏)人。性格疏狂，曾两次坐事亡命。真宗时释其罪，任滁州参军。有诗名，风格类孟郊、贾岛，亦工词，今仅存《酒泉子》十首。
