译文
江边上居住的大部分是以捕鱼为生的人，在杨柳依依的路边和菱角飘香的塘堤上房屋稀稀疏疏的分布着。
夕阳西下、微风习习的傍晚美不胜收，江边红枫树下大半都在叫卖鲈鱼。
注释
江干：江边。
钓人：渔人。
柳陌：两边长满柳树的道路。
真州绝句创作背景
王士祯是清初诗坛的领袖，论诗提倡神韵说，要求诗的意境自然淡远，有味外之味。清康熙元年（公元1662年），他任扬州推官，路过真州（今江苏省仪征市），写下《真州绝句》组诗五首，这里选其中的第四、第五首。
真州绝句鉴赏
这首诗描写真州景物风情，表现了真州景物的美丽、真州风俗人情的淳朴。
清新自然是这两首诗的特点。诗中景物淡远幽雅，特别是前一首写渔村的景物，为前人之诗所少见，令人有耳目一新之感。而这些景物都好似是诗人触目所见，信手拈来，十分自然。而所表现的诗情画意也是十分自然，宛如一幅天然的渔家生活图画。
其次是含蓄而有意味。作者虽在描写景物风情，实际上是把自己对现实生活的评价含而不露地隐藏其中。前一句描写渔村景物和渔人生活，含而不露地表现了作者对渔村美丽景物和渔人自食其力生活的赞赏。后一句描写真州农村的耕作和习俗，也含而不露地表现了作者对真州农民勤劳和淳朴人情的喜爱。含蓄的写法，使两首诗情外有味，读者若不细心思考品嚼，很难理解作者实际情感，自然也难于见得其诗之妙了。
清人评曰：“第四句乃此诗精彩佳妙所在，为一篇之主，前三句凑泊成趣，为一篇之客，此诗请客之法也。但主客要照应相配。四句色色俱精，一气呵成，如天造地设，所谓运斤成风，欲求斧凿之痕，了不可得。”

王士祯（1634—1711），原名王士禛，字子真、贻上，号阮亭，又号渔洋山人，人称王渔洋，谥文简。新城（今山东桓台县）人，常自称济南人，清初杰出诗人、学者、文学家。博学好古，能鉴别书、画、鼎彝之属，精金石篆刻，诗为一代宗匠，与朱彝尊并称。书法高秀似晋人。康熙时继钱谦益而主盟诗坛。论诗创神韵说。早年诗作清丽澄淡，中年以后转为苍劲。擅长各体，尤工七绝。但未能摆脱明七子摹古馀习，时人诮之为“清秀李于麟”，然传其衣钵者不少。好为笔记，有《池北偶谈》、《古夫于亭杂录》、《香祖笔记》等，然辨驳议论多错愕、失当。
