范当世（1854～1905)）字无错，号肯堂，因排行居一，号伯子。原名铸，字铜士。江苏通州（今南通市）人。清末文学家、诗文名家、桐城派后期作家，也是南通市近代教育的主要倡导者和奠基人之一。光绪时入李鸿章幕府，常相与谈论政事，自负甚高，而终身坎坷。诗多沉郁苍凉之作，著有《范伯子诗文集》。2008年4月16日，“南通范氏诗文世家陈列馆”开馆。
