墨守成规的典故

战国时期，木匠出身的墨翟主张兼爱与非攻，到处推广他的学说。楚国要去攻打宋国，鲁班为楚军设计攻城的云梯。墨子急忙去劝阻这场战争，楚王让墨子与鲁班比试比试攻防演习，墨子善于防守，鲁班败北。楚王只好放弃攻打宋国。
