扬汤止沸的典故
东汉末年，刘廙因哥哥刘望之被荆州刺史刘表所杀就去投奔曹操，他的弟弟刘伟是行刺曹操的案犯魏讽的同党，按律刘廙也应处死，可曹操爱惜人才并没有杀他。刘廙给曹操写一封信，感谢曹操扬汤止沸救命之恩，让他枯木生花。
