取长补短的典故
战国时期，滕文公从楚国路经宋国时会见孟子，孟子给他讲一些人性本是善良的道理，勉励他要以尧舜之道治理天下，还要他截长补短，发挥地区优势，以仁政来治理天下，滕国可以成为一个强国。滕文公听了孟子的言论未置可否，只是微笑应付。
