齐王舍牛的典故

战国时期，齐宣王看到有人牵一头牛从堂前走过，便问要把牛牵到哪里去。牵牛人回答说：“将要杀掉它用来祭钟。”齐宣王说：“我不忍心看到牛被杀时发抖的样子，还是用一只羊来代替牛吧。”
